NEVILLEWOOD NEIGHBORS |

The Nevillewood Neighbors is an outreach committee of the
Nevillewood Homeowners Association. Its purpose is to build a
sense of community among the residents of the various
Nevillewood Plans by facilitating the sharing of common
interests and enhancing their understanding of our community. |
|
|
|
|

MEMBERSHIP |
|
|
|
|
| |
All residents of Nevillewood are members of the Nevillewood
Neighbors and are entitled to participate in activities. Adult
members (those who are age 21 or older) may vote in elections
(with one vote per household), chair committees, and hold
office. |
|
|
|
|
| |
MEETINGS AND ACTIVITIES |
|
|
|
|
| |
There is one
Nevillewood Neighbors general membership meeting per year. It
is held in April for the purpose of electing officers of the
Neighbors. |
|
|
|
|
| |
In addition,
the Nevillewood Neighbors offers a variety of activities to its
members. These include: |

|
| |
|
|
| |
We are
pleased to also support local charities through our Community
Outreach projects. Some of the charities supported by the
Nevillewood Neighbors have been Greater Pittsburgh Community
Food Bank, Presto/Kirwan Heights/Rennerdale Volunteer Fire
Departments, Make-A-Wish, Keep Collier Beautiful Community
Clean-Up Campaign, and Variety the Children’s Charity. |

Biennially, the Nevillewood Neighbors publishes
a neighborhood directory for the residents at Nevillewood.
Supplements are distributed in the interim year between
publication. |

Newsletter |

The Nevillewood Neighbors Newsletter is published bi-monthly and
updates residents on neighborhood activities, information from
the homeowners association, and the news from the township.
Newsletters are delivered via the U.S. Postal Service or e-mail. |

Neighborhood Watch and Street Captains |
|
| |
Nevillewood is a Neighborhood Watch community. Through the
Nevillewood Neighbors we utilize a system of Street Captains
that makes it possible to distribute important time-sensitive
information via e-mails to all residents who consent to having
their e-mail address on the distribution list. |

Adult Education |
|
| |
Educational programs are held periodically that are of
interest to the residents of Nevillewood. To date,
topics have included climate change, a series on women and
finance, trends in plastic surgery, the benefits of massage
and tips for shopping for fine jewelry. If you are
interested in presenting a program or have ideas for future

Book Club |
|
| |
With recommendations of its members, the Book Club selects a
variety of authors and genres for reading. Various reading
interests and members’ backgrounds contribute to lively,
humorous and often moving conversations about the monthly
book choices. Each member takes a turn hosting, and
the group meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00.

Chick Flicks |
|
| |
Nevillewood Neighbors Chick Flicks group meets one Tuesday
night each month except around the holidays. We'd love for
you to join us. It's a fun night out. If you'd like to be

Poker Club |
|
| |
Polker Club meets every other Thursday night, (usually
the 1st and 3rd) from 8:00 to 11:00 pm sharp at various
Nevillewood homes. Email Joe Blattner at

the emails for Poker Club. |

Dining Out |
|
| |
Join your friends and neighbors for a Friday Night Dinner at
a new, interesting location. Dates are scheduled
approximately once per quarter. Watch the Nevillewood
Neighbors Newsletter for announcements on dates and
locations. If you have a suggestion for interesting

Gourmet Dinner Club |

The Gourmet Dinner Club meets on the first Saturday of each
quarter beginning in February. Participants take turns
hosting the dinner and share in cooking the meal that is
coordinated by the hosts. If you would like to know

Tasting |

The Nevillewood Nippers is an informal wine tasting group
that meets periodically in member homes. Participation
includes attending events, as well as the willingness to

Moms/Dads n’ Babies |

The Moms/Dads n’ Babies playgroup is a very low key and
relaxed meet and greet once a month in a local park or
playground. Field trips are arranged depending on interest.
